Good Stop
Stayed 1 night, easy to find, and well signposted. Water and waste are conveniently situated. Minutes walk from town centre, tabac bakers and supermarket. Alongside a park to walk the dogs. Good uninterrupted nights sleep, felt safe. Interesting history of WW1 in town and area.

Town center stopover
We were only here 1 night. They are redeveloping the carpark in front of the CCP so may be noisy during weekdays (we stayed on a friday night). Local kids use the fenced basketball court/football area, during early evening, was quiet after 20:00hrs but not to much noise. Short walk into town with plenty of shops and eateries.

Toller Stellplatz mitten in der Stadt. Bäcker, Metzger, Bar und eine gute Frittenbude direkt um die Ecke. Für eine Nacht bestens. Alles NEU!

Quiet and clean
Good stopover . Easy to access unexpectedly quiet for a town centre stopover.

Clean and tidy site. Full on both the nights we were there. The facilities are as you would expect at a CCP site. There are a couple of bakeries in the town. On the edge of the road there is a place that sells burgers and chips etc. looks like it is mainly take away but there were benches outside. Open every evening and several lunchtimes. It was very busy. Close to the motorway either to the ports or southbound. Car park works will soon be finished. We will definitely return if in the area.

Ein sehr schöner Platz für die Etappe in die Normandie. Das einzige was wirklich fehlt ist die fehlende Möglichkeit seinen Müll zu entsorgen. Keine einzige Mülltonne!

One night stay
In a town that has all amenities we stayed in June 2024 although there was some building construction going on opposite. There is a supermarket turning right from the site plenty of places to eat out. A quiet night but no shade.
Hello, Thank you for your review of the Bapaume site where you stayed. Not all the areas are shaded. We offer many stages with different vegetation depending on the location. If you only want shaded areas, you should know that the campsites in my Village are often greener than the stopover areas. New facilities
Stayed for two nights and it was fine. They are doing building work in the main square opposite, so a little noisy, but not too bad considering what’s being done. Restaurant next door and shops and supermarket very near. If your interested in military history, it’s a great place as a base to visit the area.
