On the negative side Poor sign posting as we tried to enter the exit, some pitches were on the muddy side, Ok as a stop over and functional services, despite it’s good location the AIRE lacked some soul; we stayed two nights, I would come again just to visit the Local Reasturant 9 minutes walk away absolutely excellent.

Fab site .no frills but it's beside a great city.public toilet few yards away.lively spot in season nice and quiet off season.will be back

1st ever camping car stay
My wife & I finally decided to just book ferry to France & back (for our 25th Wedding Anniversary) and we would use camping-car sites. We had seen this site on a previous visit with friends so thought an ideal place to start. Very east access to site and walkable into Saumur. Out of season so shower facilities closed. A great 1st choice after driving from Roscoff

Saumur is prachtig!
De CP is gelegen op een eiland tussen twee armen van de Loire. Voldoende ruime plaatsen, totaal geen bereik mobiele telefoon en wifi. Saumur is een prachtige plaats met veel leuke winkels en supermarkten.

Great location
Was sceptical about this site due to its close proximity to the town. It was really quiet, river views from most pitches. Some had castle views. Clean toilets near the sports centre. Approx 15 minutes walk to the town. Saumur has plenty of restaurants and bars. We had a great evening here. We would use this aire again.

Lovely location
Located on the island between the old city of Saumur and the railway station. Super convenient for the old city which is about a 20-minute walk away, along the river and over the bridge right into the city. The aire is right next to a campsite plus the cities athletic stadium. There are several bars and small shops within a 7 to 8 minute walk. The aire is right on the banks of the Loire. It is level with the entry and service point at one end and the exit at the other.
