Decent site
This is a decent small site. We were a little concerned about locals playing football and hanging around on the site, but thankfully, they were gone by 7pm. The noise from the railway track could be a concern if you are sensitive to it, but we were fine. Best to park on the left as you enter. We were disappointed that we felt forced to purchase the privilege membership as we were approaching St Omer. The website only showed 1 space available. We did receive excellent customer service as we strug

geen opmerking in verband met de aire maar wel met 1 iemand die kaart had om binnen te komen en 3 die er achter volgden om gratis binnen te komen (engelsen) en dan smorgens terug op de zelfde manier vertrekken

Great location
Great location for dunkirk ferry. issue with server meant barrier didnt raise, for a few of us, but sorted quickly by maintenance. Then app showed i was still on site after i had left, quick call to customer service, and all sorted. trains didnt atop at 80m, it was a bit later, however, electric trains so a lot quieter than ypud imagine, so dont let that put you off.

Saint-Omer
Perfect for overnight either to or from the ferry/Shuttle. Visited the town - a few minutes walk away - had a wonderful meal and meandering tourist walk. Site was clean. Bins good with recycling. Marked down as entry system and water were not working and required calls to customer services (who sorted very quickly and helpfully). Check your route as railway bridge with height restriction on one of the routes in (not the French route). Carrefour Express in town and two Lidl and one Aldi en route

Platz
kleiner Stellplatz, gut gelegen, angrenzende Bahnstrecke je nach Empfindlichkeit etwas laut. Für uns in Ordnung.

Der Platz war in Ordnung uns hat die Bahnlinie nicht gestört. Ver- und Entsorgung hat funktioniert. Die Abfallbehälter waren leider mehr als überlastet

Der Stellplatz selbst ist ordentlich. Was sich negativ auf den Gesamteindruck auswirkt, ist die übervolle Müllsammelstelle.

Very Noisy
Its a shame the aire is located backing onto some noisy metal work factory auto parts workshop/store as well as right adjacent to the train line.... so every time a train went by it rocked the van. I didnt see any spots which were flat....and although we were there after the Bastille day weekend , the rubbish bins were overflowing and the smell was terrible

We understand your disappointment with the aire's location, and we apologize for the noise pollution caused by the metalwork factory and the train line, to the point of making your motorhome shake. We've duly noted your comments regarding the unlevel pitches and the overflowing bins.
