You will need levelling blocks for this site. Pitch size good all hard standing. If you are a light sleeper the trains may be an issue. You can both hear and feel them if parked on the right hand side. The drinking water when we arrived was virtually non existent. The next morning when we emptied the toilet there was no water at all. We did phone and were told that they had reset it but there was still no water coming out of the tap. A new CCP facility would improve the water situation.

Simple, but ok
CP just next to railway with passenger and freight trains passing regular. Simple terrain with no special qualities. On walking distance of town centre. Good for 1 night stop-over. We went here to visit La Coupole.

OK….but
Je n'avais pas l'intention de rester ici mais j'ai été détourné lorsque Bray Dunes a été fermé en raison d'un risque d'inondation. Le site est correct mais pas exceptionnel. Notre plus gros problème est que la description du site indique qu'il n'y a pas de train après 20 heures. Ce n'est pas le cas. Ils ont fonctionné jusqu'à 23 heures et ont repris à 4 heures du matin.

Needs some love and attention
Not the best site we've stayed on. Lots of rubbish and dog mess about. Toilet... husband wouldn't let me use it. No wifi. It is on a train track, but didn't bother us. But close to centre of St Omer.

Une aire de passage située juste avant la côte
Bien placée sur la route de la mer, c’est une bonne destination pour une nuit. Certains pointeront le bruit des trains de marchandises (il n’y en a plus de 23h30 à 05h43), mais tous les services sont à portés de main (boulangerie à 500m, Lidl à 300m et vétérinaire à 50m 🐶 🐱).

À éviter! 4 trains sont passé pendant la nuit faisant beaucoup de bruit et secouant le camping-car. En arrivant pas d’électricité, des personnes avaient appelé à 19h on leur a promis une intervention rapide mais en partant à 10h toujours rien! Poubelles qui débordent de partout, certainement non vidées depuis plusieurs semaines. Nous n’y retournerons pas!

Poor maintenance
This should be a very good site and with a little attention it could be. Wi-fi, toilet, recycling, all potentially very good. But the bins were overflowing and the toilet was filthy. If everything had been in order it would be worth 4 or 5 stars. During our stay the electricity failed, the Wi-fi and water went off, and the barrier lifted. We could not enter the next site as the system thought we were still in St Omer. The site needs someone local to ensure everything is clean and working

Bonjour Patrick, Nous sommes vraiment désolés d'apprendre que votre expérience sur l'aire de Saint-Omer n'a pas été à la hauteur de vos attentes, et nous comprenons parfaitement votre frustration concernant les coupures de courant, le manque d'eau et les difficultés de circulation. Ce genre de situation est inacceptable, et nous vous présentons nos excuses les plus sincères. Nous tenons à vous informer que tous les problèmes techniques que vous avez rencontrés ont été entièrement résolus depuis. L'électricité et l'eau sont de nouveau fonctionnelles, et des mesures ont été mises en place pour que l'aire soit mieux organisée et plus sécurisée pour les camping-cars. Na ja kann man mal machen
Platz ist schön und die Parzellen sind groß genug. Kleine Stadt mit zuviel Verkehr. Überall dürfen die Autos durch. Für uns zu laut. Uns hat der angrenzende Bahnverkehr gestört. Deswegen keine Empfehlung
